Calendar Event Criteria

Thanks for your interest in adding an event to our calendar!

Our calendar drives significant views and visit to events, and we try our best to make it high quality and relevant to the Pride community.

Our rough guidelines for whether an event is approved is that it fulfills some of:

1.⁠ ⁠Is it free to attend for the public?

2.⁠ ⁠⁠If it’s not free, is a business making profit, or do profits go to a non-profit and/or it’s priced at-cost?

3.⁠ ⁠⁠Is it run/led by community members (e.g. Trans led mediation, Queer climbing coaches)?

4.⁠ ⁠⁠Is it a special event that’s unique to Pride week, or is it simply a Pride rebranding of an ordinary event that this business/organization runs?

5.⁠ ⁠⁠Does it platform or center the LGBTQ+ community? And/or does it build LGBTQ+ community? How so?

We aim to make every event have really great content:

1. Helpful details for people who have not attended something like this before (e.g. what to bring, where to park, what to expect)

2. Friendly and helps people know how to find the group

3. Has working ticket link (if relevant)

3. Up to date on weather, tickets, sold out status (put in title if sold out)
