About Truckee Pride: Truckee Pride is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that creates ways for neighbors to meet, celebrate our town's diversity, and build a stronger sense of community.

Through a wide range of programming year-round in Truckee and North Lake Tahoe, we aim to ensure every resident and visitor feels a true sense of belonging in our mountain community.

Our Mission

We're a grass-roots ,volunteer-run organization working to make everyone feel welcome and at home in the mountains. We love living and playing in the incredible landscape of the Sierra Nevada. Historically, rural towns and outdoor spaces haven't always been accepting of the queer community. Our mission is to make sure that regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race and lifestyle, everybody feels safe, supported and welcome in the Truckee-Tahoe area.

About Truckee Pride : as the highlight of the year celebrated the first week of June, Pride Week has grown since 2024 with a handful of events to nearly 30 throughout the week, from calm and connecting meetups to all-out DJ dance parties. Everyone is welcome to celebrate community, connection and love. Anyone hosting a welcoming LGBTQ+ event is invited to Submit their Event to our calendar. **** The apex and highlight of the week is the DJ Dance Party on Saturday Night, themed Queer Prom for June 6, 2026. For 2026, proceeds from Truckee Pride Week will fund a local queer teen to attend a  BraveTrails.org summer camp.
